The wife of the former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Pastor (Mrs) Florence Umana has celebrated his father’s birthday, Obong Paulinus Ime Ubiam JP for reaching the age of ninety years .
Speaking, Pastor( Mrs) Florence Umana thanked God for sustaining the life of his father to the age of ninety, with sound health and protection of the family, she also expressed her gratitude to the guests, children, grand and great grand children, duaghters inlaws for attending the surprised birthday celebration of his father.
She further appreciated her father for the training and christian values he taught the children and raising them up to be God fearing. She described his father as disciplinarian, man of peace and giver to people who come his way. While thanking God for sparing his life till the age of ninety.
Also in his comment, Pastor Tony Mfon of Charismatic Renewal Ministry, took his message from Psalm 28:8.
He charged the children on the blessing they will receive for honouring and celebrating their father.
Pastor Tony Mfon further told them how Jacob prayed for his children and anything he prophesied to the children came to past in their life, while urging Obong Paulinus Ime Ubiam to pray for his children, grand and great grand children and duaghters inlaws, For more blessings from God.
In his remarks, Dr. Utibe Ubiam thanked God for the life of his father, for his protection and sound health, he further described the father as a disciplinarian, a giver and peace maker.
Dr. Utibe Ubiam further hinted that his father encouraged people to always leave in peace with one another, he encouraged the children to go to school and people that past through him.
Obong Ubiam, fondly called “The Life President”, is a devoted Christian of the Roman Catholic Church, who loves God both in thoughts and in deeds. He was born on July 9,1935 at Anua.
