Kidnappers that abducted six students of the Nigerian Law School have demanded the sum of N20 Million ransom for their release.
The students were abducted on their way to the Yola campus towards Wukari – Benue highway in Adamawa State last Saturday.
They had just completed their mandatory court externship and were returning to campus ahead of the school’s resumption on Monday. The kidnappers contacted the families shortly after the abduction, demanding a staggering N20 million for each student, making it N120 million for the six victims.
In the chilling phone call, they allegedly boasted that their victims were targeted because they are “big men’s children,” and warned that time was running out.
The Adamawa State Police Command confirmed the abduction but clarified that the incident occurred outside its jurisdiction.
“The incident took place close to the Benue border. Security agencies are working collaboratively to secure their release,”
said SP Yahaya Suleiman.
