Etinan lawmaker to commence payment of Bursary Stipends to over 700 Etinan students

The Member representing Etinan State Constituency in Akwa Ibom State House of Assembly, Hon. Uduak Ekpo-Ufot is set to commence payment of bursary stipends to over 700 eligible students from his constituency.

According to a release from the lawmaker’s office, the payment is scheduled to begin on Thursday, August 7, 2025. This initiative is part of Hon. Ekpo-Ufot’s efforts to support the educational advancement of Etinan indigenes by supporting their education.

To receive the bursary stipend, students are required to visit the Etinan State Constituency Office in the Assembly Complex, off Udo Udoma Avenue in Uyo, every Thursday in the month of August with the following documents:

  • Proof of membership with the respective NAELGOS Chapter in their institution
  • Certificate of Origin
  • Most recent Course registration documents in their school
  • School ID card
  • NIN print out

Hon. Ekpo-Ufot, who is the chairman of the House Committee on Science & Technology, has consistently demonstrated his commitment to promoting education in his constituency. The bursary stipend payment is a significant boost to the educational development for students of Etinan origin and will be ongoing.

Eligible students are to visit Etinan State Constituency Office in the Assembly Complex, off Udo Udoma Avenue in Uyo, every Thursday in the month of August between 10am and 4pm.

The lawmaker stated that submissions for Batch B will open in September 2025, providing another opportunity for students who may have missed the initial batch.
