The Executive Chairman of Ibeno Local Government Area, Ambassador Glory Ekah Effiong, has expressed deep appreciation to Governor Umo Eno for the recent disbursement of a ₦401 million empowerment package during the Eket Federal Constituency Town Square meeting.
In a press statement, Amb. Effiong described the gesture as another demonstration of the governor’s unwavering commitment to the people. “Governor Eno has once again shown his genuine love for our people,” she stated, pledging Ibeno’s full support for his 2027 re-election bid. “Ibeno is ready and committed to follow our torchbearer, Governor Umo Eno,” she affirmed.
The ₦401 million package was distributed to 1,000 beneficiaries across the Eket Federal Constituency during a well-attended event held at the Cenotaph near the Eket Township Stadium. The event served not only to empower residents but also became a rallying ground for political leaders and stakeholders endorsing the governor’s second-term ambition.
Key components of the empowerment scheme included ₦5 million grants for small and medium-scale businesses to boost entrepreneurship, ₦2 billion in agricultural grants, and an additional ₦2 billion support package for traders.
